I founded Cooper Associates in 2008 with a clear ambition to build a business centred on delivering exceptional outcomes for both clients and employees, while also achieving a personal goal to establish a company structured for long-term success beyond my day-to-day input.
Today, Cooper Associates Group comprises three subsidiaries: Cooper Associates Mortgages, Cooper Associates Wealth Management (Principal Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management), and Cooper Associates Accountants.
While I don’t typically focus on key performance metrics, I believe they offer valuable context. If I’m supporting other businesses, it’s important to demonstrate a proven track record of growth, sustainability, and strategic delivery.
Since its inception, Cooper Associates Group has achieved consistent 20%+ year-on-year growth. Today, the Group employs close to 150 people and generates an impressive turnover with strong profitability and a clear long-term roadmap in place.
Importantly, I’ve built a business that operates without my daily involvement. This has created space for other opportunities and experiences—one of which was serving as Chief Executive of Somerset County Cricket Club in 2017/18.
More recently, through LA Cooper Advisory, I’ve had the opportunity to support, and invest in, a range of other businesses. It’s been a genuine privilege to help others grow, drawing on the lessons, insights, and the occasional mistakes I’ve made along the way.
